Big Decision for Parliament in January

Sir Robert Syms, Member of Parliament for Poole, spoke in the House of Commons debate on the Withdrawal Agreement last Wednesday, saying that with a heavy heart he would be voting against the deal, as he has concerns about the impact of the Northern Ireland backstop, and in particular on the lack of a time limit for its termination.

Funding for Mental Health in Poole

Sir Robert Syms, Member of Parliament for Poole, welcomes the announcement by Matt Hancock, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, that as part of the Government's long term plan for the NHS he is funding the Mental Health Estate Development scheme with new investment of up to £5.932 million, which will deliver an additional Older Age Mental Health Unit on the Alderney site in Poole.
