With construction of the second harbour crossing, the Conservative Administration continues to look forward, with a mission to provide greater community engagement, respect for the past, and secure a prosperous future for Poole residents.

Although faced with reduced Government support and funding due to the previous Labour Government’s economic mismanagement, Conservatives aim to protect the most vulnerable in our society, whilst maintaining and enhancing the services that we provide for our residents.

TWIN SAILS BRIDGE - ON TIME AND ON BUDGET

Many of you will have seen the first lifting of Poole’s iconic Twin Sails Bridge last month.  The Bridge is on track for its opening in March 2012; both on time and on budget and at no cost to the Poole Council taxpayer. 

PROPOSED MARINA EXTENSION

The Conservative  Administration is very aware and supportive of the need for the Port of Poole to continue to make a strong contribution to the local economy as well as any development being in sympathy with the maritime heritage of the Town.
