As well as a long and successful career with large international engineering companies, Tony has been a member of Poole Lions Club for over 45 years, raising over £2 million for disadvantaged people in Poole and a number of hospices. For the last eight years, he has organised the Father Christmas Engine for the children in Creekmoor, this year raising £500 for the Poole Food Bank.
He recently arranged for a large shed to be installed for the Millfield Sheltered Housing residents, to ensure safe storage for their mobility scooters and is currently working with the Police to resolve a longstanding ASB issue in Creekmoor.
Last year Tony challenged BCP Council on their decision not to install a cremator for Poole Crematorium - raising a petition signed by over 3,000 people. BCP Council have now agreed to install a new Cremator next year.
