May Haines

Councillor - Canford Cliffs ward
  • Unitary Councillors

May was first elected in 2007. Among her achievements are an extension to the Branksome Park Conservation Area, resurfacing of Panorama Road and the installation of Treasure Island Play Area in the village. In this last term, she was instrumental in implementing the Summer Response to deal with the influx of visitors to our area, expanding the council's accredited security officers and forming a successful partnership with the local police force to tackle anti-social behaviour. She was also key in initiating a street cleaning pilot in Sandbanks as well as securing funding for the extension of Canford Cliffs library. She will continue to work with local residents to ensure their voices are properly represented.
