Bob started working life as a photo journalist and then moved to Poole 39 years ago as a computer sales manager which he did for 16 years prior to becoming a freelance IT sales consultant.
He lives in Lower Parkstone, initially to a home near to a great school for his daughter - and also became Chairman of their PTA.
As one of four founders of the charity, ‘Friends of Poole Park’, he became joint co-ordinator of Poole Park Fest, which ran for four years, culminating in winning “Poole Tourism of The Year” Award in 2007.
Another proud achievement was receiving the Gold Dolphin “Community Champion” award from the Poole Mayor, Joyce Lavender.
He has been involved in Poole Park Railway, both as part of the painting team and then qualified as a driver & guard for the train.
In 2011 he founded Poole Beach Hut Association to fight a Council proposed changes to length of tenure and is still working with over 300 members, currently challenging BCP’s huge hike in beach hut rents.
A keen Table Tennis player, he can often be found enjoying his favourite sport at Creekmoor Community Centre in Northmead Drive.
