Vishal is a ward campaigner in Hamworthy East. He has lived in Hamworthy for past 15 years with his wife Val, three dogs and a cat. He is the stepfather of Val's two daughters: Tracey lives in Australia and Catherine lives in Plymouth. He has worked in various service sectors from health care to manufacturing, and has been a youth volunteer worker and represented local community via PHP scrutiny panels.
Since being elected as a councillor for Hamworthy East, he has represented Poole on the Joint Health Scrutiny Board for Clinical Services Review and Mental Health Acute Care Pathway. At present he sits on the committees for business improvement, health, children, and Dorset Healthcare University Foundation Trust.
As a Mental Health Champion, his role is to raise mental health awareness in Poole and via his representation on outside bodies, the BSO and Carter Almshouses.
