Cllr Ron Parker
Ron was first elected in March 1998. He has taken the lead for Poole on the South West Local Government Association and his council work has very much focused on securing and maintaining a dynamic economy for Poole. From 2003-11 Ron was Cabinet Portfolio Holder for the local economy and was instrumental in achieving the funding and implementtion of the iconic Twin Sails Bridge. He maintains a keen interest in the continuing regeneration of Poole with his involvment in the Revitalising the The Town Centre Working Party and the Member Engagement Forum. He is a member of the Planning Committee and chairman of the Transportation Advisory Group which scrutinises emerging transport policy and makes recomendations to Cabinet and Council.
