CHILDREN’S PLAY AREA

For the past two years Cllr Carol Evans has worked with a group of local residents to secure  funding to revamp the park in Green Road. Working closely as a group of eight, they consulted with  local children, parents and carers, and some residents of Grace Darling House. Using the ideas from the consultation, a design based on a seaside theme was finally decided upon.

The Play Area was recently officially opened and is a first class example of community engagement.  A previously tired and outdated place is now a loved and cared for park for everyone to enjoy!
